Today’s supplementary election holding at Ibeju-Lekki is marred by low voters turnout.

The election is to determine who represents Ibeju-Lekki Constituency One in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Our man who is covering the election reports that sensitive electoral materials arrived early in most of the polling units.

Electoral officers also arrived on time for the election but voters were not ready to come out in their numbers for the election.

Our correspondent reports that there was heavy presence of security men in the polling units visited.

The traditional ruler of Okegun Community, Chief Kazeem Erinle blamed INEC for the low turn out saying it was just yesterday that they were informed of the make up vote.

Party faithful were seen going around with bell to mobilise eligible voters to come and vote.
