Strike Paralyses Sea Ports

Maritime workers have made good their promise to go on strike as they have shut the Port complex at Apapa and Tin Can Island.
They are protesting the refusal of companies in the sector to pay workers their legitimate wage.
The strike followed the expiration of a two weeks ultimatum.
The Police were seen securing the Apapa Port’s main gate this morning.
Business activities were crippled at the Apapa and Tin can Ports Complex.
The President of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, Comrade Abdul-Waheed Adeyanju had vowed that all the sea ports in the country would be grounded.
