PRESIDENT BUHARI CONDEMNS RECENT ETHNIC VIOLENCE, VOWS TO PROTECT LIVES AND PROPERTY.

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed that his government would protect all religious and ethnic groups in the country, in line with the constitution.
The President was reacting to reports of the breakout of violence in some parts of the country.
In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, President Buhari warned that government would not allow any ethnic or religious group to stoke up hatred and violence against other groups.
He condemned such violence and gave the assurance that his government will act decisively to stop the spread of any such violence.
The President also appealed to religious, traditional leaders and elected leaders across the country to ensure that communities in their domain were not splintered along ethnic and other primordial lines.
