Police in Lagos Arrest Eleven Members of the NURTW

Eleven members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, otherwise known as Agbero have been arrested by the Police in Lagos.

They were arrested at the weekend while causing mayhem around Yaya Abatan garage in Ogba by the State Task Force.

The Chairman of the Task Force, Mr. Olayinka Egbeyemi, a Chief Superintendent of Police said that dangerous weapons such as axe, diggers, cutlasses and broken bottles were recovered from them.

He said that all those arrested have been charged to court.

Mr. Egbeyemi counseled members of the NURTW to always conduct their activities in a peaceful manner to avoid disruption of peace and subsequent arrest.
