The second lap of the 2019 General elections for Governorship and State Houses of Assembly has commenced across the country.
Twenty-nine states will go to the polls to elect their Governor with the exclusion of Anambra, Bayelsa, Kogi, Ekiti, Ondo and Osun states.

Asaba, Delta state
As early as 7.30 this morning, eligible voters have gathered at ward 9, polling unit 15 in Asaba Delta State awaiting the commencement of the polls by 8am. The ad hoc staff are already on the ground putting finishing touches. The polling unit is located at Ozoigee primary school, Asaba
At 8:59 AM, Voting is yet to commence at a polling unit in Umudaike ward 8 unit 1 and 2 in Asaba with 861 registered voters. Also voting is yet to commence at Umuagu ward 6,7,and 8 with 4,465 registered voters.However the ad hoc staff were seen trying to set up their materials. Voters are anxiously waiting to cast their votes at Inalu 1, unit 9 and 10 with 2938 registered voters
Voting has just commenced at the polling unit located at the Anglican Girls Grammer school at Nnebisi road in Asaba, Delta State.There are 1640 registered voters at this polling unit,ward 9 unit 2 with 3 voting points
Vehicles conveying voting materials to polling units in Ikotun- Ijegun area of Alimosho Local Government of Lagos State are already leaving the collation Centre in Government Technical College, Ikotun.
Each vehicle is being accompanied by INEC ad-hoc staff, police Officials and men of the Civil Defence Corps.
Ikotun, Idimu and Ijegun areas of the state are peaceful this morning as some voters are already waiting at polling units for the exercise to commence.
Low turnout of voter at Ward 8 Polling Unit 9, Oshogbo Local Government area. Also, Ward 4 units 001, 002, 003 & 004, Oshogbo LG, recorded low turnout of voter unlike what was recorded during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
INEC staff are already on ground with the election materials.
Accreditation is about now starring at Iseyin District Grammar School, Ekunle, Iseyin.
At Ward 3,Unit 13, where are there 3 polling units,the INEC Adhoc staff were seen sensitizing the voters on how to cast their votes.
Also at Ward 3, polling unit 12,there are 3 pilling units.
The voters were already on the queue ready for accreditation.
The INEC staff on the ground told FRCN that all the materials were on the ground for a smooth conduct of the election.
Accreditation and voting has commenced in earnest at exactly 8.00am at filin chiranci of gwale local government area of Kano state.
Radio Nigerias correspondent in Kano who went round many polling units in the metropolis observed that voters came out en mass very early to perform their Civic responsibility.
Security was beefed up in almost all the polling units visited,more so at kankarofi polling unit in Kano municipal voting commenced at exactly 8.15am.
Voting materials arrived the polling units early and the card readers were working without any hindrances .
Malam bala shehu of chiranci quarter in gwale local government area and bahijja kasim who cats there votes at exactly 8.29am after being accredited commended the early preparations of the INEC officials in bringing voting materials early.
