NAHCO Official Hit With Wood By Cargo Agent Suffers Internal Brain Damage

The Lagos Airport Police Command has launched a manhunt for the arrest of a cargo agent who attacked and stabbed a staff of one of the grounds handling companies at the Murtala Mohammed International airport.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command Mr. Joseph Alabi said the police was unable to arrest the main suspect when officers got to the warehouse where the incident took place last week Wednesday.

He said the matter was still under investigation and efforts have been intensified to apprehend the suspect who is currently at large.

According to the investigation, the victim a staff of the  Nigerian Aviation Handling Company NAHCO, Mr. Tersuu Orhemba was on night duty when he was reportedly attacked and stabbed by a cargo agent simply identified as ‘Bayo’ of Confidence Cargo.

The incident was allegedly captured by Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) inside the premises of the NAHCO warehouse.

 The victim is said to be in the Surgical Emergency Department of  Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in a critical condition.

His medical report indicates that he has internal bleeding which has moved into the brain and would require surgery to clear blood strains in the brain.

NAHCO management is yet to officially comment on the incident.
