The Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association, LERSA, has urged the Lekki Concession Company, LCC, to provide more efficient and safer services, following its plans to resume operations at the Lekki tollgate.
LERSA President, Chief James Emadoye, who made the appeal in a statement in Lagos, said a tolled road was supposed to provide quick, safe and motorable experiences, which users would be happy to pay for.
Chief Emadoye recalled that the experience of road users before the tollgate was shut down for investigation purposes, was one of hardship due to perennial traffic gridlock.
The community leader also called for the implementation of round figure fees and the immediate improvement of the tolling system technology to guarantee the free flow of traffic.
Chief Emadoye urged the state government to create more alternative roads to the tolled road in order to ease the suffering of Lagosians on that axis.
