LASG Commences One Month Free Health Screening For Resident

The Lagos State Government has commenced a one month free health screening for residents and seven days free treatment for Children between the ages of zero to twelve.

The Free Health mission is in collaboration with a Non Governmental Organisation, BOSKOH Lagos Healthcare Mission International aimed at combating organ impairments and life -threatening ailments in children.

At the official opening of the free Health mission, tagged “Healthy Bee Project” Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu who was represented by his Deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, said the programme was a component of his development agenda to reposition healthcare and give disadvantaged children access to free quality medical care.

On her part, the wife of the Governor, who is also a medical Expert, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-olu encouraged parents to utilise the opportunity to take their children for screening and treatment of the medical conditions that can limit their mental and physical development.

Some of the children beneficiaries appreciated the State government for fixing the program during the holidays.

Also some adults who were screened for Tuberculosis and HIV, commended the State government for the Initiative.

Correspondent Yemisi Dada reports that the free Health mission which would be concluded at the end of this month is taking place simultaneously at the Primary Health Centers in Ajara -Badagry, Akerele in Surulere, Ikotun in Alimosho, Iga Iduganran on Lagos Island, in Epe , Onigbongo in Ikeja, and Ita-Elewa in Ikorodu.
