Lagos State Governor Swears in Acting Chief Judge

Prison de-congestion, speedy and efficient adminstration of justice will be given priority in Lagos State.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who made this known at the swearing-in of the acting Chief Judge of the State, Justice Kazeem Alogba said his administration is ready to partner with other tiers of government to ensure a vibrant judiciary in line with international best practices.
Governor Sanwo-Olu described the office of the Chief Judge as a watchdog and the tripod of Democratic governance for interpreting laws without fear and prejudice.
Responding, the acting Chief Judge, Justice Kazeem Alogba, who thanked the Governor for the opportunity to serve expressed his willingness to work with the State government in the area of Traffic management and control, Environmental sanitation, review of infrastructure and Human resources of the Judiciary, as well as speedy delivery of Justice in the State.
Correspondent Omolara Omosanya reports that the event was witnessed by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Body of Permanent Secretaries, Judges and other top government functionaries and family members of the acting Chief Judge.
