Lagos State Government Unveils 110-Bed Maternal And Child Hospital In Eti-Osa Local Government

Eti Osa Local Government now has a One hundred and ten bed Maternal and Child Centre, MCC.
It was build by the Lagos State government.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu inaugurated the facility today as part of activities to mark his first one hundred days in office.
The facility is the eighth in the series of MCC
Governor Sanwo-olu said the four-floor facility was designed to provide integrated specialist healthcare for the mother and child in the state so as to reduce maternal and child mortality.
He appealed to residents and other neighbouring communities to take advantage of the facility by patronising it.
The governor promised to Upgrade the facility to a General Hospital in future.
Earlier, in a welcome address, the Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi said that the provision of the ultra-modern facility will go a long way to improving patient care, reduce morbidity and mortality, before, during and after child birth.
Professor Abayomi said that the facility would serve as a referral centre to primary health care centres and private facilities in the area.
Some of the community leaders who thanked the Governor for the facility also appealed for the construction of Obombo road via Abraham Adesanya road to make commuting to the hospital accessible.
Our Correspondent Yemisi Dada reports that the MCC facility has treatment rooms, intensive care baby unit, first stage labour rooms, recovery room, operating theatre, autoclave room, routine clinics facilities, consulting rooms and emergency resuscitation room.
