Lagos State Government Reiterates Commitment For a Better Lagos After Cabinet Members Retreat

The Lagos State Government has expressed its commitment to improve on its service delivery capacities through consistent infrastructural development, job creation, as well as security for residents.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu gave the assurance while speaking with State House Correspondents, after a four-day Retreat by members of the State Executive Council, Permanent Secretaries and some Heads of Parastatals and Departments at Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Information, Mr Gbenga Omotosho, said the retreat was to enable Cabinet members key into the policy thrust of building a greater Lagos in line with the six Pillars of Development named T.H.E.M.E.S.

He noted that members of the cabinets are now fully energized and armed with necessary knowledge to build a better and transformed Lagos.

On his part, the Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okuola, said positive values and decisions would be taken only in the best interest of Lagosians.

He said the retreat was necessary to create synergy and bond between the three arms of government to build a better Lagos for the benefit of residents.

On his part, the State’s Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Samuel Egbube, who noted that Lagos is the gateway to the world stressed that mechanism are now in place to raise the bar of governance with a view to ensuring that the manifestos of the present administration are fulfilled.

Our Correspindent Yemisi Dada reports that lectures of the retreat were delivered by the DG of Budget in the Presidency, Ben Akabueze, Fola Adeola, Dele Alake, Yewande Sadiku, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Mr. Babatunde Fashola among others
