Lagos Pilgrims Organise Prayer Session For Successful Hajj Rites At Mount Arafat

Pilgrims from Lagos State on this year’s hajj in Saudi Arabia have organised a prayer session to seek God’s intervention and protection for the successful hajj rites at Mount Arafat and Mustalipha.

Correspondent Wahab Akinlade who is among Lagos pilgrims reports that Mina is a place where pilgrims will converge on a day before Arafat day which is the most important rite of the Hajj.

The pilgrims also took advantage of the period to pray for peaceful coexistence, religious tolerance, hamony and development of the state and Nigeria as a whole.

The Amirul Hajj of Lagos State, Dr Abdul-Hakeem Abdul-Lateef told the pilgrims at the prayer session in Mecca, to intensify their supplications for the unity and stability of Nigeria.

Dr. Abdul-Lateef called on the people to learn to pray in the right way as it remains the best way to receive the good deeds of prayers.

Contributing, Chairman Ad-hoc Committee of Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmed Jebe, assured pilgrims of the commitment of the Lagos Officials to give their best to the operation in other to have a hitch free exercise.

He reminded the pilgrims on the need to be patient, tolerant and humble as the life that will be experienced in Munna is completely different from that of Makkah and Medina.

Meanwhile movement of the pilgrims from Makkah to Munna began last night.

The Pilgrims are expected to spend five days in Munna to carry out the rites.
