Lagos APC Lauds Sanwoolu Over N35,000 Minimum Wage

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress(APC)has commended Governor. Babajide Sanwoolu for approving N35,000 as the new minimum wage for workers in the state.

The party gave the commendation through its Assistant Publicity Secretary, Mr Abiodun Salami.

It said the approval of the new wage by the governor had confirmed that the APC -led state government was welfare oriented and that it is unprecedented that workers in the state will be getting a higher wage than those of the Federal Government.

According to the Lagos APC, Governor Sanwoolu during the campaigns promised to impact on the lives of the people through effective policies ,programmes and projects and he has been doing so from the first day he assumed office and the new minimum wage is a sign that more dividends of democracy are coming for Lagosians .

The ruling party urged residents to continue to support the APC-led state government in its unflinching commitment to take the state to greater heights.

The state Head of Service ,Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola ,had in a release on Wednesday añnounced the approval of N35,000 as new minimum wage for workers from level 1-6 by Gov.Babajide Sanwoolu.

Mr Okunola said the governor also approved wage consequential adjustments of 25per cent for workers on level 8-10, 22 .5 per cent for workers on 12-14 and 20 per cent for those on level 15-17.
