JIFORM GETS COUNTRY COORDINATORS

Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM), has appointed country coordinators and other officers to straightened its operations.
JIFORM is a Foundation that champions regular migration and anti-human trafficking crusade on the globe.
Also, a news website for the body would soon be unveiled.
The appointment includes those of two legal practitioners to handle it’s legal matters and other migrant related issues.
They are the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja branch, Rosslyn Obakpolor and renowned activist Barrister Wale Ogunade.
In a statement issued in Lagos, the President and Executive Director of JIFORM, Ajibola Abayomi said that the appointments were imperative in order to position the organization for its new phase of advocacy.
The General Manager, Radio Nigeria Bronze FM, Benin City, Mrs Bimbo Oyetunde is Vice President, West Africa; Zambian journalist, Juliet Makwama is Secretary General while Kunle Adeniyi of Kiss fm Abuja, is Assistant General Secretary.
Others include Willie Mponda an Editor at The Sun Newspaper, Zimbabwe as JIFORM Coordinator Southern Africa; an American, Megan Janetsky, Coordinator America; Massinissa Benlakehal an Algerian journalist based in Tunisia is to Coordinate Northern Africa.
Adam Jobe from Chronicle Newspaper will Coordinate Gambia while Fred Smith Kuku, Coordinates, Ghana
Two persons a US based journalist and migrant counselor, Eric Chinje and a migration expert based in Germany, Veye Tatah are advisers.
The National Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service, a Deputy Controller, Sunday James is now the Chief Coordinator of Programmes of the body, Professor Ikechukwu Anthony Kanu, Director Research and Content, while Mr Rasak Bamidele and Adeola Ekine, Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Lagos State Chapter were appointed as Regional Director Publications and Women Coordinator, Nigeria respectively.
