FUN SEEKERS ARRESTED IN LAGOS FOR VIOLATING LOCKDOWN RULES

Sixty fun-seeking youths partying at a spot in Idi-Oparun Bus Stop, opposite Abattoir, Abule Egba has been arrested in Lagos.
They were arrested by the State’s Task Force on Covid-19 for violating the lockdown, public gathering and social distancing directives of the Federal and State governments.
The General Manager, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, who announced this warned that anyone caught disobeying government directive would be made to face the repercussions.
She said that the joint taskforce team responded to a tip-off and met many youths having fun at a birthday party in total disregard of the government order.
The LASEPA Boss said that the party venue has been sealed and party attendees as well as organisers arrested by the police for further investigation and profiling.
Dr. Fasawe appealed to parents and guardians to keep watchful eyes on their wards and charged them on staying away from unlawful gatherings.
She also disclosed that a nightclub at Victoria Garden City, Lekki, that was using a Pharmacy Store as a cover up, was also sealed this week.
