Court Stops INEC From Going On With Collation Exercise In Bauchi

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Bauchi state has received an order from a Federal High Court in Abuja, restricting it from regenerating the disputed result of Tafawa Balewa local government area of the state.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ibrahim Abdullahi, disclosed this at a press conference at the Prof. Mahmood Yakubu Conference Hall, INEC Headquarters in Bauchi
Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi said the court will begin hearing on the 20th of March at federal high court number six Abuja
INEC National headquarters had earlier ordered regenerating of the Tafawa Balewa local government’s result after receiving recommendations by a fact finding committee.
The case was filed by the State Chapter of the All progressive Congress, APC.
