Relief has come the way of the twenty communities that were resettled in Eti Osa East Local Council Development Area.

They now have a Primary Health Care centre and blocks of classrooms to cater for their needs.

The facilities were provided by one of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Parishes in the area.

The Provincial Pastor of the Church, Mr. Kayode Pitan, said the projects was borne out of pity for the large number of out of school children in the community.

Pastor Pitan said that provision of basic amenities should not be left for Government alone, hence the need for religious Organizations to cultivate the habit of Corporate Social Responsibility in their various communities.

Pastor Pitan said that the projects cost One hundred and eighty million Naira.

Appreciating the gesture, Governor Sanwo-olu who inaugurated the projects thanked the church and its leadership for giving back to the society and urged other Christian, Islamic Organizations and Corporate organisations to emulate such gesture.

The Chairman of Eti-Osa East LCDA, Mr Funmi Rafiu-Olatunji, who thanked the church on behalf of beneficiaries, promised that the facilities would be put to good use.

Our Correspondent Yemisi Dada reports that the Church which had fully equipped the Primary Health Center promised to pay the salaries of Health workers in the facility for the next one year.
