CAN Holds Thanksgiving Service for Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Lagos State Chapter, today held a Thanksgiving service for the victory of Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu and the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat.
At the Inter-denominational Thanksgiving service held at the Deeper life Headquarters at Gbagada, the Lagos CAN Chairman, Apostle Alex Bamgbola, said the service was to acknowledge God’s faithfulness and peaceful co-existence among all religions in the State.
In a sermon entitled “Finishing well the race of life”, Apostle Bamgbola, tasked the new administration at the State and National level, which according to him started the race well to end well, noting that it is more honorable to end well than to start well.
The Clergyman urged Governor Sanwo-olu to use his victory to serve residents of the State selflessly.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu who read the first text from Psalm One hundred and thirty-eight verses one to eight, thanked the Christian community for their prayers during and after the gubernatorial Election that brought him into office.
The General Overseer of Deeper life Bible Church in, Pastor William Kumuyi and other Ministers of God prayed for the first family of Lagos and all residents, as well as for Nigeria as an entity to foster Unity and Progress.
Our Correspondent Yemisi Dada reports that the Service which was spiced with different rendition by the CAN central choirs had in attendance Christian faithful from different denominations, Top government functionaries, representative of traditional rulers and APC party faithful.
